Based in Charleston, South Carolina, John Cusatis provides a dynamic audience interactive musical performance that has made countless evenings unforgettable for those involved. Drawing from a seemingly endless repertoire of songs people love, John involves no recorded background music but instead relies on the audience to turn his live solo act into a live "band." Needless to say, the show is always different, and, as letters from various party hosts and corporations testify, always a blast. John provides the microphones, tambourines, maracas, bongos, washboards, cow bells, kazoos, and everything else from wood blocks to dread locks. And even the seemingly shy have difficulty resisting the fun. John's show is ideal for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, birthdays, family reunions and corporate gatherings ... that is, any occassion where fun is a priority.

John's play list leaves no listener unsatisfied as he pulls strategically from such genres as classic, modern and southern rock, oldies and beach music, reggae and calypso, country, folk or blues. John has also supplemented his thorough list of popular cover tunes with songs from his full-length cd, April Days, a collection of 13 original recordings. With its clever lyrics and catchy rhythms, this debut effort has earned nothing but excellent reviews from music critics. John's song writing landed him a spot into the exclusive Charleston Musician's Showcase, and his song "Reggae Bubba" was featured in the award winning independent film Beautiful Kid, starring the Irish writer/actor Frank McCourt. He has performed the National Anthem before 4,000 Charleston RiverDogs fans at Joe Riley Stadium, and provided vocals, guitar and arrangements for the PBS Documentary A Coal Miner's Music

John's schedule has carried him to East Coast corporate functions, private events, and clubs from Miami to Detroit, with stops in Atlanta, New York City and Chicago. If you're a SC college football fan, you may have joined John on stage at Jake's, the legendary Five-Points bar in Columbia, where he entertained after Gamecock football games for a decade.

You can book John Cusatis to make your party more fun and memorable. John has recently performed at parties for such groups as the Medical University of South Carolina, Polaroid, Porsche, The United States Air Force, and Coldwell Banker.

After John was one of 17 artists chosen to be part of the Charleston, SC Musicians Showcase, Michael Baugh, of the Charleston's Free Time wrote, "With a song writing style based on intricate and tricky word play, John Cusatis walks a fine line between satire and serious, and usually pulls it off."
